4 pieces

Ingredients: 50 grams of wheat flour (or another type of flour), 50 grams of oatmeal, 185 grams of applesauce ? (put 3 apples in the slow juicer and use the remainder for the cookies), 60 grams of date paste, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of tartar baking powder, some slivered almonds.

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and line the baking tray with baking paper.

Step 2

Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl and stir well.

Step 3

Add the wet ingredients and knead well with your hands. Make it into 1 large ball. Does it feel too wet? Then add some flour or oatmeal. Too dry? Then you can add some date puree or some applesauce.

Step 4

Taste to see if it suits your taste. Otherwise you can make it even sweeter with the date puree or add some vanilla.

Step 5

Make 4 equal balls and press them flat on the baking tray. Brush them with some plant-based milk and sprinkle with some slivered almonds if desired.

Step 6

Place the baking tray in the middle of the oven and after about 25 minutes your apple and date cookies are ready.

Step 7

Let them cool and store them in a closed container.

Would you like to mix in some nuts or dried fruit? Then do this in step 3. Also dare to experiment with spices such as gingerbread spices, ginger and cardamom.
